Description: Rebuild Humanity is suffering another Apocalypse. The city is not recognizable any more: the streets are full of roaming zombies who are catching live people and attacking their refuge. You need to search for survivors in this apocalyptic turn based strategy game. Create a detachment of soldiers, scavengers, builders, scientists and combine their efforts for city rebuilding and defense. Manage food supplies, housing and morale while defending against undead attacks. Reclaim the city one square at a time and put your survivors to work scavenging for food, building houses, rediscovering technology and of course killing zombies. Beware of rival gangs, wild dogs, food thieves and even riots as you manage a city. Your fort should be growing constantly.

Rebuild Game Review

Rebuild is a game that is based upon a city that has been run over by zombies. Only a small fraction of the city is left unharmed and a small number of survivors still remain. Its now up to you to take back the city and try to drive the zombies away. Rebuild plays like a real time strategy game but without the mundane tasks of collecting resources and what not. You already have a band of survivors for you to choose from the moment you start playing the game. It pays to read carefully what each survivor is an expert in before you send them out to explore the rest of the zombie infested city. Scouting the city can be a very scary job for your survivors and you have to make sure to send the right people to the correct place in the city. There are many missions in different buildings around the city and some of them are more zombie infected than others. This is where the thinking and planning strategies will come into play in Rebuild. Some of the missions require you to scout and overtake a specific building. In order for you to do that, you must send out people who are strong enough to kill zombies. There are also people in your band of survivors that are good leaders and can recruit new people to stay with your team of survivors. This becomes a major part of the game as the more people you have on your team, the better it will be to benefit everyone. Survivors can come in all shapes and sizes and its best that you dont send out everyone on missions all at once. The tiny pocket of the city that is safe from the zombies can at times be invaded and you will need policemen on your team to stay behind and protect your only safe haven. A cool looking animation sequence is played out when you see this. Luckily for me, I survived the first ever zombie invasion. Protecting your safe haven should be your main priority in the entire. Not only is it the only safe place in the city, but your farmers are able to grow food for you there. You have to ensure there is enough food grown each day so your survivors won’t die from starvation. If youre good enough to progress, you can kill lots of zombies to try and reclaim other areas within the city. Even though you can claim other areas in the city as your own, your mission isn’t over as zombies are everywhere in this game. The 2D style of graphics is nice to look at. The soundtrack is also chilling and is appropriate for the horror genre. The one thing I would criticize about Rebuild is that you rarely get to see the zombies themselves. All you see is shaded areas of a building where they congregate and thats it. The only time you get to see them is when the aforementioned animation sequence occurs where they attack your fort. Even then, they dont look that scary. Theyre nothing compared to the zombies that appear in Resident Evil thats for sure.
