Infinite Crisis Infinite Crisis is a free to play MOBA from DC Comics. It’s not a browser based video game so you will need to download the game’s data first before you can start playing. The PC requirements aren’t hefty, but older computers might not be able to play it. You only need to download roughly only 2GB of the game in order to play which isn’t too demanding. However, it’s still time consuming compared to the instant playability of browser based titles.

Infinite Crisis Game Review

Once you finally have the game all booted up and installed fully onto your computer, you are then ready to play the game. The game starts off with a lengthy introduction that gives you a little background into the game’s plot. Basically, a huge threat looms over the entire DC Multiverse. The player will have to use both heroes and villains to oppose this threat. There are numerous versions of your favorite DC characters that you can play as and it’s pretty cool to see them all. Batman has the most variations and is safe to say the most popular character in the whole DC Universe. Poor Superman has had to take second billing for quite some time.

The tutorial is quite lengthy and very wordy to say the least. This is not a bad thing as you will need to know the basics before you go on and play the actual game. The first character you play as in the tutorial is “Gaslight Batman”. This is a funny version of Batman that wears funny yellow goggles. As funny as he looks, he’s still Batman and has all of his fancy gadgets and is still efficient when it comes to combat.

Infinite Crisis does have a little inspiration from the Diablo games as the controls and even the camera’s perspective are almost the same. You play the game from a top-down view as you use the mouse to click and highlight where you want to go. The actual level you are in is actually darkened and only lights up if you explore the area more. It plays much like an old-school type of game, but it’s still very enjoyable. Another game you can compare this to is the very popular League of Legends as well.

Infinite Crisis’ gameplay and combat system is very enjoyable, yet easy to master as well. In its most simplistic form, you just need to click the right mouse button anywhere on the map and your character will start moving. After that, you highlight the enemy using the mouse again and your character will automatically start attacking. It’s an old system that MMORPG games often use, but it still works and is still fun to play.

Apart from just beating up enemies with your fists, each character also has several other abilities they can use to take out even more enemies. The abilities are mapped on the keyboard and are skills you can use that are more powerful than your standard normal attack. In terms of Gaslight Batman’s skills, he has numerous cool gadgets in his belt. His trustee battering is always good at taking out multiple targets and he even has a special stun gun that can attack enemies from afar. The special attacks are cool, but you cannot spam them as all of them have a cool down period before you can use them again.

After you get through the tutorial, you can then play with other players. You can ally with team mates to take out the opposition in an arena-style death battle. It’s quite cool playing as and with other DC characters and seeing them pound one another to smithereens. Other than Batman, there are a host of other characters you can play as. Superman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg are here as well as notable villains like Joker, Harley Quinn and Doomsday just to name a few. The game may not feature some of the lesser known DC characters, but most of the famous names are all here.

Presentation wise, Infinite Crisis presses all the right buttons. The 3D graphics are excellent and there are some awesome bone crunching sound effects added too. When your character execute a special move, that’s when the game looks and sounds its best. There is also the occasional voice acting included too that breathes more life to the game.

All in all, Infinite Crisis is a very enjoyable free to play MOBA that features an impressive roster of characters and fun game play to boot. Some gamers might find the game too easy, but that’s not really a bad thing since the game is still entertaining. If you have a decent computer, you should try downloading Infinite Crisis as the game play alone is addictive in itself. Even Marvel fans might see some fun in playing this game…
