Legends of Honor

Legends of Honor In a war ravaged kingdom divided by three feuding factions, survival and prosperity are the preserves of the strong. In Legends of Honor, walls rise and castles crumble in the blink of an eye, so gather your forces and prepare your heroes for battle! Combining fast-paced action with strategic empire building, Legends of Honor is an MMO browser game in which split second decisions can make all the difference between a glorious victory or a crushing defeat. However, not all wars are won on the battlefield, and your strategy for building a prosperous castle is just as important as your strategy for winning epic PvP battles. As lord of your castle, it falls on you to construct mighty buildings, recruit powerful soldiers, and ensure your walls are strong enough to withstand the onslaught of the bloodthirsty enemies who lay siege on your defenses. Do you have what it takes to become a Legend of Honor?

Legends of Honor Review

Legends of Honor is a free to play MMORTS that is playable online. It is browser-based so you don’t need to have a powerful computer in order to play it. Any normal web browser should be able to run it as the graphics are not high-end. It’s an old-school style of game. Unlike other free to play video games, there are no customization options for you to do at the start of the game. At the beginning of the game, you start off playing the tutorial immediately. The tutor gets you to construct your city and castle first because it is very barren at the start of the game.

Legends of Honor is much like many other RTS video games. It starts off very slow because you have to construct buildings before you can assemble an army. However, buildings can be constructed at a very fast rate and that’s a good thing. You can speed up the process of construction most of the time for free. This makes the game faster paced than the boring RTS games where upgrading buildings is the majority of the gameplay. It can be quite interesting seeing how your city builds up the longer you play the game. When you start the game, your city is quite small like a village. However, you can expand the area so you are able to make more buildings and develop a proper city. After several minutes of playing, you can then start making an army so the real fun can finally begin.

Combat is handled differently in this game than in other RTS video game. It feels different and the presentation is unique in this game. Battles are seen and only occur when you visit the World Map. The World Map gives you can overview of opposing enemies and you are free to infiltrate their bases and take them head on if you choose to do so. Your army is represented as one huge knight attacking another knight. These huge knights are supposed to represent your whole armies. The presentation is unique mainly because other RTS games would actually animate every soldier. In this game however, they only bothered to only show two characters fighting at one time.

As for the combat itself, it is totally simulated. This is a bit of a downer as it would have been cooler if you had some type of control over the combat. Even if the combat was turn-based, it would have made it a bit more fun. Instead, all you see are the Knights attacking one another on their own and all you can do is watch and see what happens.

Legends of Honor screen 3

Overall presentation is average at best in Legends of Honor. The graphics are really outdated and don’t offer anything special. I know this is just a browser-based game, but Legends of Honor could have looked more modern considering it has a 2015 release date. Not to mention the game has no audio in it either. It would have been nice if it had some music or any type of sound effects. Overall, Legends of Honor is a rudimentary free to play RTS game that doesn’t break any new ground. It’s playable for sure, but it does not show anything that makes it stand out from the rest of the crowd. RTS fans might find something interesting to do here, but other people should find something else more entertaining to play instead.
