Legend of Junior Gameplay Review

Legend of Junior is a new free to play action RPG (ARPG) and online rpg game that you can play on your computer with MMO elements added into it. The thing that separates this game from other RPGs is the fact that it’s mostly inspired by martial arts more than anything else. The martial arts elements make this feel a lot different compared to the many other MMORPGs that are out there in the market. The game is browser-based meaning you can play the game directly simply by opening your web browser. There are no big system requirements that you need in order to run the game smoothly. All you really have to do is update your flash player and you should be good to go.

Once you start playing Legend of Junior, many veteran RPG players will know exactly what is needed to be done. The game is your usual and typical MMORPG where everything is on auto-pilot. This essentially means all you are doing to clicking one button and your character will travel and do all of the combat for you automatically. I was surprised by how fast the game gets you going because you are already moving and accepting your first quest once this game gets booted up. I did not even have time to look at the character I was selecting as the game pretty much started off immediately on its own.

My chosen character already had a mount as she was riding on top of a huge dog like a pony. I’m guessing there are probably other mounts that you can unlocked as you progress through this game, but the dog-like creature is the only one I saw at the very beginning of the game. Even though the game is browser based, a flaw I encountered while playing the game is the fact that the graphics don’t load up in time with the action. I saw a lot of screen tearing and objects failing to load up while I was walking around all of the levels. It gets a bit jarring to see the inconsistencies with the graphics, but once the game settles down the visuals look better the longer you play the game.

Design wise, the characters have a cute anime look to them and the levels are quite large and expansive. There is a bit of slowdown when you encounter a lot of bad guys on the screen, but the game doesn’t lag too many times. I rarely had any major technical difficulties while playing this game for several hours. There’s not much else I can say about the gameplay because it plays exactly like every other MMO clone does. You just click one button to go to your quest location and then your character automatically hacks and slashes any enemies it sees. You don’t really have to think a lot while playing this game as everything is done for you.

While this type of gameplay is common, I do find it to be a bit repetitive and boring after a while. It’s still fun to play, but people that are used to the RPG genre may want to find something else to play. There is PvP involved, although only use this feature once you are good at the game’s combat. The best thing to do to get better is completing all of the single player quests so you can get the best armor and weapons. Anyway, Legend of Junior is a fun RPG even though it doesn’t add anything new to the table. It’s still worth playing since it’s free to play, although some gamers may find it to be a little repetitive. In either case, it’s still enjoyable since most people shouldn’t have a hard time playing this game.
