Realm of Warriors Game Review

Realm of Warriors is yet another free to play online browser based MMORPG video game that you can play on a computer or laptop device. The game is browser based meaning you don’t have to download the game’s content before you play it. You can just pretty much start the game on any web browser with Flash and you’re good to go. If you don’t enable Flash, you won’t be able to play the game. So make sure you update all of your browser’s latest features or else you may not be able to play Realm of Warriors.

Realm of Warriors Gameplay

Much like many other MMORPGs out there, Realm of Warriors lets the player choose the type of character and class they want to be. The class types that are available in the game include a Warrior, an Archer, and a Mage. You don’t get to choose how to make your character look as preset character models are already available to you. That said you still have a choice on if you want to play as either a male character or a female character. Once you have chosen a character, you pretty much start the game off immediately. It’s one of those easy going MMORPGs where you pretty much accept a quest from a person and then you automatically go to the location that you need to go. It’s like you are playing the game on autopilot and you don’t really have many options to explore for yourself.

The game is played via an isometric point of view and uses some decent looking 2D graphics. The graphics may not look revolutionary, but they are decent enough to showcase its oriental style of charm. However, the camera shifts to a side-on view when you engage in battle. Even though the camera changes when you are in battle, it’s still not a chance for you to actually control the actions of your character. The game may look like it’s a fighting game, but all you do is sit and watch how fights play out. It’s disappointing how you cannot control battles as a turn-based system would have been more fun.

Final Verdict for Realm of Warriors

The game may have fast paced combat and story progression, but the only thing that is slow is the text boxes. It usually takes a long time to read the character’s speech bubbles and it gets boring needing to scroll through them all. Reading is essential though since this game does not have any voice overs. That’s not to say the game is totally mute. Realm of Warriors has relaxing music when you are roaming around the levels and some awesome sounding rock music plays while you are in battle. Aside from that, there aren’t any other sound effects added so the music will get a little bit repetitive if you are playing the game for several hours. Anyway, Realm of Warriors may not add anything new to the MMORPG genre, but it’s still a fun game that should be accessible to almost everyone. Since it’s free to play and genre speaking online rpg games there’s no harm in you at least giving the game a try for yourself.
