Date Warp Date Warp is a unique game that is categorized as a visual novel. Its not really a video game per se, more like an interactive movie much like the recent Heavy Rain for the PS3. As you watch the events unfold in front of you, there are specific moments in the game where you can make the decisions and decide what the character should do next. Date Warp is a game that plays much like this and has a very interesting and intriguing storyline that will hook players the moment they start playing. You assume the role of a young college girl by the name of Janet. Shes an innocent girl who is in the middle of her first date with her new boyfriend called Bradley. Things dont go according to plan on their first date as their car breaks down in the middle of the road in the pouring rain. The couple decides to seek help in the nearest house they could fun. Upon their arrival, they are not received a warm welcome. It is here the first time that the player can decide what Janet can do next. You normally have two or three options to choose from on how Janet should react in the situation she gotten herself into. The first option is that you can choose to be apologetic, or you can demand the person opening the door to let you in as your car broke down and you are soaking wet! Even though you have options to choose from in Date Warp, you will still have to earn the best option youd like to choose as this isn’t the type of game where you can just point and click. This is done by the way of a puzzle. The puzzle has the option you want in the middle of an electronic circuit board. You objective is to rearrange the wires so the electricity can flow to the option you want Janet to do next. Its not a very hard task to do and its the only type of real gameplay players will experience in Date Warp. The rest of the experience lies within reading the dialogue between the characters and trying to engross yourself into the storyline. Once Janet finds herself inside the house, she realizes the inhabitants are not as friendly as she thought they were. Although this is not a classic horror story, it does have a story that could lead to a classic murder investigation. There are five young men living at the mansion and Janet’s boyfriend has a hunch they are not as nice as they appear to be. I really loved the way the characters were developed in Date Warp. Bradley ,Janet’s boyfriend, isnt the type of person she originally thought. Bradley only pretended to be her boyfriend as he wanted to get closer to this mysterious mansionas he suspects the five young men kidnapped and killed his sister five years ago. From there, its up to you as Janet to figure out the truth and see whos is telling the truth. The decision you will have to make only gets tougher from there. Graphically, the anime style characters are excellently drawn. Not only is this but the story the true star of the show. If the story and characters were boring, I highly doubt it will be the type of game that players would want to continue playing. The story is just as engaging as the one seen in the PlayStation 3s Heavy Rain. Date Warp is a great visual novel. Although the demo is free-to-play, if you want to know what happens, you will have to pay to find out. Not that this is a bad thing, as the story and the game itself should be worth the price of admission.

Wonderland Days Sim Date Wonderland Days Sim Date is a simulated dating game that is based upon the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. As Alice you mysteriously fall inside a hole and you are transported into the fantasy world of Wonderland. You are then told that you have 30 days until the hole is reopened. During those 30 days you can explore the world of Wonderland and talk to the many interesting characters that inhabit this fantasy world. Unlike many other sim dating games, there are more activities that you can do here other than talking to potential partners to fall in love with. One of the first things I did was go inside the maze. Thankfully you can exit the maze at any time but you will stumble onto some helpful items that will be useful for you to attract your loveer to be. You can only go out on date if you have a fancy dress. Normally you can go out and buy one in other games but Wonderland doesnt have a store like this. A beautiful dress just happened to be hidden inside the maze! Its this level of interactivity that I feel is sorely missing in other sim dating games. Another aspect of the games interactivity is the way you earn money. One of the easiest ways to earn money is by street performing. You have to impress a specific audience member or else you won't earn any money. It pays to actually talk to many of the citizens of Wonderland before you do this activity. This way it will be easier for you to know what their interests and hobbies are so you know what type of performance you can give them. Working at a store is the other way of earning cash in Wonderland. Nevertheless, Wonderland Days Sim Date is a game that can be enjoyed by little girls. Its a fun game that offers more to the player than just simply talking to boys and going out on a date with them. Overall, I thought the game is one of the better sim dating games I have played since it offers more of a variety of game modes.

It's set in a local school and city and its your goal to find a date before your school hold its big annual Festival. Within those 30 days you can earn money or work part time to help out run your school festival. You can also talk to other school mates about the festival and potential partners you would like to go on a date with eventually. Unlike some other sim dating games I played recently, this game had a more homely feel to it. This is because it was set in the real world and you meet real humans. It made the game a bit more realistic unlike other ones where you are in a fantasy world meeting up with unworldly creatures... The only downside to the real-life setting of the game is the lack of fun activities you can do. Unlike in Wonderlands Sim Date there's not really anything you can do in Festival Days apart from talking to people and working. The only extracurricular activity you can do in this game is do a bit of bakery to prepare for the Festival. It's nothing much but at least it's more exciting than talking to boys all the time. There is one girl that you can potentially be partners with as well. The one thing that I'd give advice to players is that remember who you are talking with and what their festival is about. If you choose to visit the wrong place at the festival you will not be able to see the correct ending. Festival Days Sim Date is a little cliche at not as fun as other sim dating games I've played but its realism will entice some gamers. Preteen girls who are still in school and are looking for their first partner will benefit most by playing Festival Days Sim Date. Not sure if anyone else outside that demographic would want to play this game though.
