Avatar: The last airbender Theres a little RPG game on based upon the Nickelodeon animated TV series, Avatar: The Last Airbender that is available to play online. The game is unfortunately not an adventure-based RPG game and is only a turn-based battle where you have to face up against one character and several of his minions. There's only one screen presented in front of you and all you have to do it pick which attack you want to execute, or to sit back and defend against your enemies' attacks. The graphics of the game are exactly identical to the animation of the cartoon. Since everything takes place in one scene, it's great to see how detailed each character is. The attacks are well animated too with a mix of fire, water and other elemental types. The one thing that may deter your enjoyment of the game is its hard learning curve and difficulty. You will have to plan and strategize your next moves carefully or else, the odds will certainly overwhelm you. Since you control Aang (the main protagonist) he's not all the powerful compared to your opponent Zuko. It's also not fair that Zuko can summon more minions for himself and therefore, it takes even longer for you to defeat him as you'll have to dispatch attacks on his buddies too. The one helpful thing this game provides is that it will tell you when it is the best time to block. This was a lifesaver since there will be up to four or maybe five other people attacking you all at once. The music can be a bit loud and annoying as well. Although it is supposed to be an epic orchestral piece supporting the heat of battle, I still felt the music was repetitive and not very soothing to the ears. It will also take you a long time to defeat Zuko. Since this is a turn-based RPG style battle, you will have to sit and wait until your enemies have all attacked first until you can fight back. Not to mention his life bar does not deplete at a fast pace. If you have the patience and skill to persevere in this game, then you may find some enjoyment to it. Avatar: The Last Airbender is not a bad game, but it won't be for everyone's liking. RPG and fans of the animated show, will get the most fun out of this little online game. But if you're more into action style of gameplay, then I'd advise you to look elsewhere. The turn-based gameplay is just too slow for fighting game fans to enjoy.

9Dragons
9Dragons 9Dragons is a free martial arts fantasy MMORPG set in the historic Ming Dynasty. Set in Ancient China, this game takes elements of real Kung Fu, and combines them with elements of Chinese history and mythology to create one of the best Martial Arts MMORPGs around. 9 Dragons 9 Dragons isn’t a typical MMORPG games. Where most games of that particular genre are based in medieval times where you are facing off against orcs and goblins, 9 Dragons is set in feudal China where the main combat is martial arts and not swords and magic. The game world is reportedly actually based on the geography of China too. Now that’s what I call authenticity. The character I created at the start of the game became an expert in Kung-Fu. Although it took quite a while to learn this skill, seeing my character execute combos of multiple punches and kicks can be very satisfying. It gets a little tiresome in other games seeing the characters attack with swords and/or guns all the time. There aren’t that many MMORPG games out there where the character uses their own fists to fight. Thankfully, this is the main feature that separates 9 Dragons from its many competitors. As much as I admired the animation of the Kung-Fu featured in 9 Dragons, the graphics in the game are horribly outdated. The character models look okay and are based on traditional Chinese culture, although the visuals are hard to stomach in an age where most the games are in high definition. The faded color palettes and blurry textures are hard to overcome when you are playing 9 Dragons in 2011. I understand that 9 Dragons came out in 2004 but even then, the graphics aren’t to the same level I’ve seen from other games in the same era and genre. Although the graphics might be poor, the game itself can be very fun to play. Quests are indicated on your map and are always clearly marked. In some games, quests aren’t marked on your map properly that it can be a hard task to know where you are going to next. Thankfully, this is not the case with 9 Dragons. The quests themselves are easy enough to accomplish and leveling-up in 9 Dragons isn’t as time-consuming as in Metin 2. The world in 9 Dragons is huge and around 20 - 40 new quests are added each month. Experienced 9 Dragons players have the chance to explore the world hunting rare enemies in dungeons or facing up against real tough bosses. There are a variety of enemies that you can face in 9 Dragons. This includes normal humans, demons, and even zombies to name a few. At least the character designs are unique as it could get very boring facing against the same kind of enemy for hours on end… PvP combat is present in 9 Dragons. Unlike in Metin 2, any player can face off against each other no matter what level they are currently at. You can initiate combat with anyone that you can see walking around on the game map. If both players mutually agree to a fight, then the match will commence. Much like in other MMORPG games, there’s a handy chat feature for you to use at anytime during the game. If you are stuck at any point or just need some advice, there’s always someone out there in the world willing to give you a helping hand. Although I disliked the outdated graphics in 9 Dragons, the traditional Chinese soundtrack can be pleasing to the ears. This type of music is rarely used in other video games and it’s a nice change from the generic rock music that’s featured in other games these days. 9 Dragons is a highly popular MMORPG game that is played by many gamers all over the world. If you have the free time, there’s hours of entertainment that is on offer here that fans of the genre will absolutely love. 9 Dragons is free-to-play and download so do yourself a favor and try out the game for yourself.

All five factions have a different set of skills and a unique play style. The five factions in Jade Dynasty are: Jadeon : The premier ranged damage dealer in Jade Dynasty. Jadeons have powerful AoE, area of effect spells that make them effective levelers. High cast times and low defense make them vulnerable at close range. Skysong : The only class that is capable of healing and buff other players. Skysongs have low defense and limited offensive capabilities early on but make powerful allies in late game PvE and PvP. Vim : The primary tank class. Vims have high defense and deal powerful blows to single targets. They lack ranged attacks and become less effective during the later levels. Lupin : The rogue faction of Jade Dynasty. Lupins deal heavy melee damage but suffer from low defense. Their high critical rate makes them dangerous assassins but they are less useful in group fights. Ideal class for beginners. Modo : Modos are the main offensive spell casters. Their physical appearance and spell arsenal which includes curses, DoTs, and nukes mark them as formidable Warlocks. The Modo faction is the most difficult to play, especially since they are rather weak during the early levels. Balo : The faction of brute strength. The Balo prefer axes and many of their skills focus on their physical power. They make excellent front line warriors and can stun, paralyze, silence, and weaken their enemies. Arden : Elegant being that combine the best aspects of mankind and the animal kingdom. The Arden is masters of the bow and their affinity with nature allows them to summon beasts and plants for assistance.
