Unlike most other MMORTS games, the game is not set in the past so the setting of the game is more unique than most games from the RTS genre. Reborn Empire is set in a post apocalyptic futuristic world and bears some design resemblances from Gearbox Softwares Borderlands video game. Reborn Empire is also a game that does not offer many varied quests or missions for you to undertake. It is simply build your city, scout your enemies, fight them and then find other pieces of land to conquer so you can potentially build another city for you to build so you can do it all over again. Most RTS games usually play like this, although it would have been more fun you had the option to do other types of missions and activities like you can in MMORPG games. Reborn Empire is not a bad RTS game, although it could had the potential to be something great if the game had some sort of combat system. A report card is not something modern day gamers like myself like to see as action sequences of any kind are more exciting to watch than a piece of words and numbers on it. RTS gaming nuts will find some value in playing Reborn Empire, but other gamers will like more action packed RTS games to be more worthwhile to play.

Gaming website Raptr reported that there was a 2500 percent increase in the total amount of time per day of people playing the game. Numbers of PC subscribers for the game increased by 400% as a result back in November. Nonetheless, the combat in DC Universe Online is fast and swift compared to most other MMORPG games. This is because you are required to hit buttons for combat and not just forced to witness a turn based battle like other games from the same genre. It s in a player s best interest to level up and reach level 30. In order to reach that level, you are required to do a lot of quests. It mostly involves you of running around and killing a lot of things. This is to be expected since other MMORPG games play like this as well. The game opens up even more when you reach level 30 as there will be a lot more quests for you to undertake and even PvP battles.
