Glorious Saga Game Review

Before you start playing the main portion of Glorious Saga online rpg game, you have to choose a character and faction that you want to play as. On one side you have the good guy humans called the Alliance. The three characters that you can be are called Stormwind King, Jaina Proudmore and Vanessa. Two other characters are also selectable, although they’re not available yet until you progress further into the game. On the other side are the orcs who are called the Horde. The characters that you can be at the beginning of the game are called Orc Warlock, Azshara and several others that won’t be unlocked until you further play the game. After you have chosen a character and a name, you can then start playing the game itself.

Good Stuff in Glorious Saga

Whether you are playing the game on a mobile device or a web browser on your computer, the game still takes a long time to actually load up. Once the game has loaded up though, you can start playing as the game runs smoothly from here on out. Normally when I played MMORPGs games, most of them feel the same. You get a lot of RPGs that have automated combat while others use a more traditional turn-based combat system. Here in Glorious Saga, the game is very different and it’s unlike any other RPG I have played over the last couple of months.

What’s so fascinating about Glorious Saga is the fact that it plays like an endless runner type of game. You are continuously travelling from left side of the screen endlessly running to the right side of the screen. You cannot stop your momentum or explore the levels so your character Is pretty much running 24/7. As you are running endlessly, enemies prop up and your character can kill them easily if you have the right level. Most enemies are easy to kill because the combat is already automated for you. You don’t have to press any buttons or do any thinking for yourself because combat is a breeze.

The only time that you have to press a button is when you want to face a boss. Bosses usually are a higher level than you are and you have to choose the right time to combat them. If you are not levelled high enough to kill a boss, your character will die and then you have to fight your back all over again. While I did not mind playing through Glorious Saga, the endless running part is still unique to me. I usually prefer playing games where you have direct control of your character at all times, so this was a different experience for me.

Final Verdict for Glorious Saga

Visually, the game has nice 2D graphics, although I think this game is best played on a phone while you’re holding it vertically. There are too many borders on the screen if you are playing the game on a much bigger screen such as a computer or laptop device. All in all, Glorious Saga is an enjoyable RPG that is easy to play, but hard to master. It’s worth playing if you are bored and want to do something that doesn’t require a lot of thinking to do.
